Product Description

Acarbose
CAS: 56180-94-0
Qualification: ISO9001:2015; GMP

Overview
Acarbose is a pseudo tetrasaccharide of C7N amino cyclic alcohol, which can compete with α - glucosidase and is widely used in the treatment of type II diabetes to reduce postprandial hyperglycemia in diabetes patients.

Our Achievements and AdvantagesAcarbose is a famous hypoglycemic drug, and comparative genomic analysis revealed the mechanism of high production of acarbose. By targeted gene knockout, the main byproduct component C was eliminated, and the "open source and throttling" strategy was used to significantly increase acarbose production, obtaining high-yield and stable producing bacteria.

Applications
Acarbose is an oligosaccharide, which can reversibly inhibit the activity of α - glucosidase on the brush border of small intestinal mucosa, slowly reduce the speed of digestion of complex polysaccharides and sucrose, and then delay the absorption of glucose. It is commonly used in the treatment of insulin dependent and non insulin dependent diabetes.

Storage Condition
Keep in a dark place, under an inert atmosphere, at 2-8°C.
