Overview
ORITAVANCIN is a new generation of glycopeptide antibiotics, the only FDA approved single dose treatment for acute bacterial skin and tissue infections, with good efficacy against multidrug-resistant bacteria.
Our Achievements and Advantages
The research team used vancomycin producing bacteria as the starting strain to complete the reconstruction of the direct precursor A82846B synthesis biological system, obtaining high-yield and stable producing bacteria; Then, after one step of chemical modification (condensation of amino and aldehyde groups), Oliwanxing was obtained, with a dry content of ≥ 98% and almost no impurities of homologous substances in the raw material. The project has been granted a Chinese invention patent and has independent intellectual property rights.
Applications
The first and only single dose treatment regimen of antibiotics used for the treatment of ABSSIs. The patient only received one infusion of OrbactChemicalbookiv, and the entire treatment plan has ended.
